Successful gfa-excursion to Portugal

16 participants from the Netherlands and Austria took part in this year’s gfa-excursion to Portugal from March 14th to 16th 2011.

In line with the excursion we visited the Producer Organisations (POs) “Primores do Oeste”, “Frutus”, “Lusomorango” and “Torriba”. We got interesting impressions of the production and marketing of fruit and vegetables in this beautiful country.

We especially want to thank the Portuguese PO-umbrella organization FNOP that supported us

with the organisation and on site.

We are looking forward to the next excursion and to your suggestions for possible destinations.

Take part at gfa-excursion to Portugal

Also this year we are planning an excursion to leading european producer organizations. This time we're visiting Portugal and we'll take a look at four PO's for fruit and vegetables of the portuguese PO-union FNOP.

This was ICOP 2010...

From 25th to 26th November the ICOP conference for european PO's took place in Vienna.

Inspiring speakers and interessting discussions to the main topic "responsibilities" made the conference for the 90 participants from all over europe to a special event.

» Amendment of Regulation (EC) No 1580/2007

Amendment of Regulation (EC) No 1580/2007

On July 13th 2010 the European Commission voted on proposals concerning the modalities of application of the EU aid regime for the fruit and vegetable sector modifying regulation (EC) no. 1580/2007. Especially in respect to the calculation of the value of the marketed production for “first stage processing” modifications were made.
A new system will replace the notion "first stage processing" by a system of fixed coefficients (flat rates) to be applied to the "invoiced value" of processed fruit and vegetables.
